The use of dust collectors in coal-fired power plants has not only been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency, but also has ensured the health of the operators. The characteristics of the filter material, the characteristics of the dust, and the selection of the filtering wind speed are closely related.
1. Influence of dust layer on filter material of coal precipitator equipment
When the filter material purifies the dust-containing gas, there is no dust layer on the filter material, and the ability to capture dust is relatively low. After the dust layer is formed, the filtration efficiency of the filter bag can reach 99.9%. Dust also has a better trapping effect.
2. Influence of dust characteristics of dust collector equipment in coal-fired power plants
In the characteristics of the dust processed by coal-fired power plants, the size of the dust particle is the main factor affecting the filter efficiency of the bag filter . For 0.2um dust particles, the classification filtration efficiency can reach 95%; for dust particles larger than 0.9um, the filtration efficiency can be more than 99%. The larger the number of charges carried by the dust particles, the higher the filtration efficiency. By using this feature, the dust particles are charged at or before the entrance of the bag filter, and the capture efficiency of dust particles above 1.5um can reach 99.99%.
3. Influence of filter material characteristics of dust collector equipment in coal-fired power plants
In the woven filter cloth, the dust removal filter material of the short fiber fabric has a lot of fluff on the surface, and it is easy to form a relatively stable primary dust layer, and its filtration efficiency is higher than that of the long fiber fabric. From the perspective of fabric organization, plain weave filter has low filtration efficiency, and satin and twill weave filter have higher efficiency. The velvet cloth formed by brushing the surface of the filter material has higher filtering efficiency than the plain cloth. When the filter material is fluffed on one side, the lint-free side will face the dust-containing airflow, which can get better filtration efficiency.
The lower the filtration speed, the easier it is to form a primary dust layer with a small pore size and a large porosity, the more it can capture fine dust particles. When the filtration speed is too high, the penetration of the dust particles into the filter material will be intensified, and the filtration efficiency will decrease. Penetration can be overcome by using appropriate filter media. For some filter materials, when the filtering wind speed is changed within a certain range, the dust removal efficiency is hardly affected.
